On face and jaw, surgical and prothethic applications are used in the treatment of some of the deformations due to trauma, after cancer surgery or formed in birth. Due to this aesthetic and functional deformations can be treated in the face and jaw of the patient.
Deformations in the mouth together with aesthetics, may cause some functional problems. Upper jaw deformations may cause problems in talking, chewing and causing food to be transferred to nose. In low jaw deformations missing teeth can be very difficult for the patient in the use of prothesis.
Nose, ear, eye and deformations in the mouth affect the patient’s daily life negatively. Generally, prosthetic treatment is offered in these types of deformations.
In holding of the face prothesis, implants are also used with tissue sealants. After placing of the sealants, face prothesis structure starts 3-6 months after measurements are taken. A face prothesis is structured between 10 days and 1 month and adapted to the patient’s area with deformity.
