In weight gain, the first place where fat gathers are the gill region, also called double chin. Even in people who are not fat, a slight weight gain results in fat deposition in the gill region. These fat depositions remove the chin angle, and in advanced fat depositions, the chin and neck merge.
Even though this can recover very easily with weight loss, with advanced age, the neck sags, slouches and wrinkles. With neck lifting operation, you can return your neck to its state in your young age.
If there is no sagging in the neck muscles and skin and there is only far deposition on the double chin region, liposuction method may be applied on this region in neck plastic surgery. This may be applied in persons with slightly overweight persons that are not of advanced age, and good results are achieved.
If liposuction is applied in neck plastic surgery, placing a drain is not necessary. After neck plastic surgery procedure, an aesthetic bandage is wrapped around the face or an aesthetic mask with the same function is dressed to ensure that tissues under the neck stick and fuse to the floor. Leaving the bandage or mask in place for 1 week is enough.
