Glaucoma is formed as the result of the increase of liquid pressure inside the eye to a level damaging the nerves required for seeing. With the increase in pressure, sight area of the person slowly gets narrow. Glaucoma is an illness where an early diagnosis is important, and the symptoms appear at the last stages. In case of late diagnosis, it damages to the nerves where a diagnosis is not important and may cause permanent sight loss.
Glaucoma cannot be treated entirely, and it cannot be removed. With a correct and suitable treatment, it is possible to keep it under control and stop its advance.
